To link two sharepoint lists you need to create one list with a “look up” column.
First, create the list that will be the parent list – the list to which the other will be linked. If you want to create an inventory list of items and their owners, you will need to first create the list of owners. If your list already exists of course there is no need to create it again. Just know that both the lists have to be within the same site.
